Pune Crime News: 28-year-old man from Pune cheated of Rs 7 lakh on the pretext of double returns on investment

Pune:  NpNews24 Online – Pune Crime News | A cheating case has come to light where a victim was promised double returns on investment in business. A case has been registered against a resident of Ghorpadi. The incident took place between July 20121 and December 2022 at Rajaram Patil Nagar in Kharadi. (Pune Crime News)

In this matter, Suraj Ankush Mane (28) a resident of Fursungi at Haveli in Pune has filed a complaint at Chandan Nagar police station. Accordingly, a case has been registered against Sanjay Ram Prakash Pandey (42) a resident of Solace Park Society, BT Kawade Road at Ghorpadi in Pune under Indian Penal Code (IPC) sections 406 and 420.

According to the police, “The complainant and the accused are known to each other. Accused Sanjay Pandey gained the trust of the plaintiff and took money from him from time to time by promising double returns if he invested money in the milk business. The plaintiff trusted Pandey and invested Rs 7,68,000. However, the accused defrauded him financially without giving any double returns on investment or any refund. After realising the fraud, the plaintiff rushed to the police station and lodged a complaint”

Police are conducting a further investigation in the case.
