Pune: Pune is not unknown to vandalism. Recently, though the city has experienced a temporary lull in such activities, incidents of this kind have once again reemerged, particularly in the Bibvewadi area. As per the information, on Thursday, approximately 10 to 15 individuals created terror in the Bibvewadi area around 11 p.m. in the night by damaging parked vehicles with machetes and steel rods.

After a ‘Koyta Gang’ created terror in Pune and adjacent areas, Pune police took strong action against the so-called Koyta Gangs and nabbed all the accused involved in that gang. Since then, Pune has been experiencing a significant decline in such activities.

However, again on Thursday night, a similar kind of activity occurred in the Bibvewadi area, where 10 to 15 people attempted to create terror in the area by employing a similar modus operandi. These people vandalised five parked autorickshaws, 15 to 20 two-wheelers, and one car by hitting it with machetes. Because of this, terror has spread in the area.

The children and women in this area are living under terror. As these kinds of activities are happening every now and then, residents of this area are demanding stricter action against perpetrators in this case. In the last few days, various parts of the city have been reporting such incidences. Though police are taking action against the involved perpetrators, people are expressing fear because of the soaring incidences of this kind.
