Two Separate Cases of POCSO Act Unveiled in Pune; Both Accused Apprehended by Pune Police

Pune: By enticing a minor girl with a promise of marriage, a 20-year-old individual maintained physical relations with a girl. This incident was revealed after the victim girl was found pregnant for six weeks. In this regard, Yerawada police incarcerated the accused individual.

A 17-year-old girl living on Katraj-Kondhawa Road filed a complaint in this regard on Sunday at Yarawada Police Station. Accordingly, police booked the accused, Arjun Madhukar Kamble, a resident of Jadhav Nagar, Vishrantwadi, Pune, under 376, 376/2/N, and the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act.

As per the police information, the accused individual contacted the minor girl and entrapped her in his love. The accused individual lured a minor girl and promised her that he would marry her after she reached 18 years of age. By misleading her, the accused illegally maintained physical relations with the victim girl, which led her to become six months pregnant. This incident took place between June 2023 and February 2024 at the accused’s house.

Following the revelation about the incident, Yerawada police took the accused individual under arrest. Further investigation in this case is being conducted by Assistant Police Inspector Kulkarni.

In a further shocking incident, Khadki police have arrested a 29-year-old individual for molesting and sexually assaulting a five-year-old girl. In this regard, the mother of a victim girl registered a complaint at Khadki police station.

As per the information, this incident took place from March 9 to March 10 at the house of the complainant’s mother. In this case, the accused, Sunny Sanjay Shendge, was arrested by Khadki Police. The investigation in this case is ongoing.
