Pune Police Nab Kashmiri Resident for Rape of His Colleague by Threatening to Circulate Her Private Videos

Pune: The Koregaon Park Police have arrested an individual who raped his 23-year-old colleague by threatening to circulate her intimate photos and videos on social media. The Koregaon Police took this action after a 23-year-old girl living in Pimple Nilakh, Sangvi, filed a complaint at Koregaon Park Police Station on Sunday, March 17.

The accused has been identified as Dawood Yusuf Dar. Dar, who is currently residing in the Koregaon Park area, is an original resident of Baramulla, Kashmir. As per the police information, the accused works in the same office as the complainant.

The accused initially befriended the girl and trapped her in his love. By fakely promising her marriage, the accused took the victim girl to different lodges in Pune and maintained sexual relations with her. Shockingly, the accused recorded that footage on his mobile phone and further sexually assaulted the victim girl, threatening to post those photos on social media.

Following the complaint lodged by the girl in this regard, Koregaon Park booked the accused individual under IPC 376/2/Ans 354(a)(1) and 506 and arrested him. Assistant Police Inspector Nimkar is conducting further investigation into the case.
