Pune: Police Exposed Prostitution Racket From Residential House in Pimple Gurav; Apprehend One Accused (Video)

Pune: On Friday, April 19, a team of the Immoral Traffic Prevention Cell of the Pimpri Chinchwad Crime Branch busted a prostitution business running in a residential flat at Pimple Gurav within Sangvi Police Station limits. In this case, police apprehended one person and rescued an international woman who was forcibly employed in this business.

As per the complaint filed by female police constable Sudha Ashok Toke, the crime branch team arrested the accused, Nikhil Kiran More (25), a resident of Morya Park, Pimple Gurav, and an original resident of Jalgaon. He has been booked under various sections of the IPC, including Sections 3,4,5 of IPC 370(2) and the Prohibition of Immoral Trade Act of 1956.

As per the police information, the team of the anti-immoral traffic cell department received a tip-off regarding the operation of prostitution businesses in the first-floor flat of the Kohinoor Plaza building in the Shivramnagar area. After the confirmation of the news, the police raided the place and found a young woman from Uganda engaged in prostitution.

Accordingly, police rescued the woman, who hails from Uganda, and detained Nikhil More, who is operating this illegal business. It was learned during the investigation that the accused lured the woman with money and forced her into this illegal act. Senior Police Inspector Ramchandra Ghadge is conducting further investigation in this regard.

This action has been taken by Police Inspector Devendra Chavan and the police team under the guidance of Commissioner of Police Vinay Kumar Choubey, Additional Commissioner of Police Vasant Pardeshi, Deputy Commissioner of Police Crime Sandeep Doifode, and Assistant Commissioner of Police Crime Dr. Vishal Hire.
