Pune: Gujrat Resident Detained by Chandannagar Police in Blackmailing of a Minor Girl Case

Pune: By increasing acquaintance with a minor girl on Instagram and acquiring her nude photos and videos from her, a disturbing act of blackmailing her has come to light. In this regard, a complaint has been registered against a 19-year-old Gujrat resident under the IT Act. This incident transpired between 21 March and 22 March.

In this regard, a victim girl living in Kharadi filed a complaint at the Chandannagar Police Station. Accordingly, police booked Kalpesh Kalidas Kharade, a resident of A-1 Priyanka City, Goddari-Nilgiri Road, Surat, Gujrat, under IPC 507 and 500 and the IT Act and arrested him.

As per the complaint, initially, the accused young man contacted the victim girl through social media platforms such as Instagram and Snapchat. The accused befriended the girl by talking and chatting with her. By winning her trust, the accused, under the wrong motive, demanded her nude photos and videos.

Shockingly, when the girl refused to give it, the accused started blackmailing her for posting her morphed, nude videos on social media platforms. After this, the victim girl rushed to the Chandannagar Police Station and lodged a complaint against the accused. Acting promptly, the police detained the accused. In this regard, police inspector Pandit Rejitwad is conducting further investigation.
