Pune: Accused in Khed Firing Incident and Mahalunge Youth’s Assassination Apprehended by Police

Pune: A few days ago, a young man from Mahaluuge in Khed Taluka was kidnapped and assassinated by one person. The accused were hiding the police arrest and misleading the police. However, in this case, the police successfully apprehended the accused yesterday.

The murdered individual has been identified as Aditya Yuvraj Bhangre. Bhangre, 18, was a resident of Bhangre Vasti, Mahalunge Village, Taluka Khed. As per the information, on March 18, the accused, Amar Namdev Shinde, a resident of Kasar Amboli, Taluka Mulshi, arrived at the Maratha Hotel in Rase Phata within the limits of Chakan Police Station and opened a fiery gun attack.

After Swapnil Shinde filed a police complaint in this case, police traced the accused, Amar Namdev Shinde, and apprehended him. During the subsequent information, Amar Shinde confessed his involvement in the crime and revealed that, before two days of the firing incident, he murdered Adity Bhangre after kidnapping him.

When police investigated further in this case, they learned that two days before the firing incident, a case had been registered in the Mahalunge MIDC police station regarding Aditya Bhangre’s disappearance. Meanwhile, Chakan police have handed over the accused to Mahalunge MIDC police for further investigation.

An investigation conducted by the Mahalunge MIDC police revealed that Ritesh Sanjay Pawar, the brother of on-record criminal Rahul Sanjay Pawar, was murdered three months ago. The accused targeted Bhangre as he repeatedly posted the photo of the mutilated face of the murder on his Instagram account. Enraged by the incident, Rahul Pawar, along with two accomplices, kidnapped Bhangre from a car. He was beaten, strangled with a wire, and killed in the car.

After killing Bhangre, the accused burned the body to destroy the evidence. Similarly, in order to mislead the police, a fake act of burning Bhangre’s body in a deserted place at Nimgaon in Khed taluka was carried out. At the same time, Bhangre’s mobile phone was sent to Goa with one of the accused to mislead police about Bhangre’s exact location.

However, after a technical analysis of the CCTV footage from the firing incident, police swiftly detained the accused. As per the information, the accused killed Aditya Bhangre in the car and burned his body in a forest area in Velwada, Gujarat, on the Maharashtra-Gujarat border. The police have taken possession of the partially burned body from Velwada. Deputy Commissioner of Police, Dr. Shivaji Pawar, said that the body is not in a state of identification, and hence, it will be identified by a DNA test.
