Parbhani: Newly wed couple found dead, man dies by suicide; wife’s cause of death ascertain 

Parbhani: A newly wed couple was found dead in their house on Thursday (February 4) in Kalgaon in Purna Taluka, the police said. Upon autopsy it was revealed that the man died by suicide while the cause of his wife’s death was ascertain.

The couple identified as Motiram Ramrao Devkate (26) and Shambhala Devkate were married in May 2020. A case has been registered at the Tadkalas police station.

According to the police, Motiram is survived by his father, Ramrao Umaji Devkate, an intensive farmer, is engaged in horticulture at Kalgaon. Motiram Ramrao Devkate (26) was married in May to Shambala, daughter of Laxman Fugner of Tadkalas.

The newlyweds did not come out of the room till 7 am on Thursday. When the family knocked on the door and got no response, they broke open the door and entered the room. They found Motiram dead while his wife was found unconscious. She was taken to Parbani for further treatment, where she was declared dead.

 Assistant Inspector of Police Vasant Mule along with Police constables Dhananjay Kanke, Ganesh Londhe, Balaji Shendewad, Siddharth Dahale, Pathan  rushed to the spot upon receiving information.

Sub-Divisional Police Officer Kakade, Assistant Inspector of Police Vijay Ramod visited the Primary Health Center and got information about the incident. Medical Officer Dr. Borikar, Dr. Kalpana Alane performed an autopsy on both the bodies. A case has been registered at Tadkalas police station.
