Hospital denies blood, 8-year-old dies
NPnews24 Online, Damoh: In series of medical negligence, one more patient age eight –year-old admitted to district hospital in Damoh area of Madhya Pradesh, died after blood bank there allegedly denied giving blood.
MP: An 8-yr-old child, admitted at District Hospital in Damoh, died after he was allegedly not given blood by the blood bank there. Child relatives said, “We had submitted Rs, 1200, but they did not give us the blood. His mother went to ask for blood but was not able to arrange it. He was critical from the beginning, said civil surgeon referred him to another hospital but they did not go there.
Dr Mamta Timori, civil surgeon at the hospital: He was critical from the beginning. As per investigation, he had severe anemia. The doctor had referred him to another hospital.
