The villages included Devachi Uruli and Fursungi. However, after the recent change of guard in the state, CM Shinde decided to exclude these two villages from PMC limits. A delegation led by Vijay Shivtare had appealed to the CM to exclude the two villages from PMC limits because the civic body was not providing any facilities and imposing huge amount of property tax. Hence, a decision was taken to exclude these villages.

The way for setting up a municipal council for Fursungi and Uruli Devachi is clear. Some villagers had demanded that a separate municipal council should be set up.

A suggestion was made that the PMC should send a proposal to the state government demanding exclusion of these villages except the area of the garbage depot. The PMC sent a proposal but the state government had not issued an order. However, on the last of the financial year, the state government has issued an order excluding these two villages from PMC and setting up a municipal council for them.

The Administrator of the PMC, Vikram Kumar said, “The state government has decided to exclude these two villages from PMC limits. The garbage depot will remain in PMC limits. No decision has been taken about the TP scheme. We are going to make a demand that the schemes should remain with PMC. The employees of the villages had been absorbed by the civic body. A decision on the issue will be taken by the state government.”
