Solapur Rains | Heavy Rainfall in Solapur and Ujani Dam Expected to Reach Plus Level

Solapur: Solapur Rains |  Solapur and nearby talukas have been experiencing continuous drizzle since last night, resulting in no sun sighting since morning. The weather has been marked as rainy, and heavy rainfall has been reported. In the wake of increased rainfall in the dam area, it is predicted that the Ujani Dam will reach the plus level in the next eight days. Solapur has recorded 24 millimeters of rain in the 24 hours that ended at 8:30 am today.

If the current pace of rainfall continues, the Ujani Dam, which has been experiencing deductions, will start to see an increase in water levels in the coming week. Moreover, in Pune district, Khadakwasla dam has reached its maximum capacity, with water levels at 100 percent. As a precautionary measure, people in the dam area have been warned to remain alert.

Due to the overflow from the dam in Pune district, water is already flowing into the Ujani Dam, and it is highly likely that the Ujani Dam will reach the plus level in the next eight days, according to officials from the Dam Area Office.

The increased rainfall in Solapur and the surrounding regions brings both relief and concerns. While the rain brings much-needed respite from the scorching heat, it also presents challenges in managing the water levels in the dams. Authorities are closely monitoring the situation and implementing measures to address any potential risks associated with the heavy rainfall.
