Rajasthan: Children trapped in a grain storage container, five died of suffocation

Bikaner: In a tragic incident, five children suffocated to death after they jumped into a grain storage container while playing in Bikaner district of Rajasthan on Sunday, police said.

Police said that five children, including four girls, died of suffocation inside a grain storage container in the Napasar police station area of Bikaner district.

All children are in the age group of 3 to 8 years.

Bikaner Superintendent of Police Preeti Chandra said that the container was almost empty and the children jumped inside it one by one while playing. They told that accidentally the container was closed from outside and the children could not come out.

Three girls and their brothers and one other girl living in the vicinity died in the incident.

He told that when the mother of four reached home, the children did not meet at home. He told that when he opened the container during the search, he found all the children inside the container.
