Crime Branch solves Dhayari dacoity case

Npnews24 Online : Pune – The anti-extortion cell of Pune Police Crime Branch has arrested four persons in connection with dacoity at a farmer’s house in Dhayari on March 12. One suspect is absconding in the case.

The dacoits had broke into the farmer’s house located at a secluded farmhouse near DSK Vishwa school in Dhayari, around 1.30 am and assaulted his family members and valuables worth Rs 3.95 lakhs.

The arrested accused persons have been identified as Somnath Vithal Mane of Dhayari, who used to buy tamarind from the farmer’s family, and his accompices Praveen Vilas Dodmise (25), Sagar Nilappa Gaikwad (23), both residents of Bhugaon, Sambhaji Sitaram Gore (30) of Narhe. Ashok alias Kaka Naga Gaikwad of Nizamabad,Hyderabad is yet to be arrested. Police have recovered valuables worth Rs 1.15 lakhs from their possession.

Additional CP (crime) Pradip Deshpande, DCP (crime) Shirish Sardeshpande, ACP Sameer Shaikh and Senior police inspector supervised the investigation team.
