Pune TADA Court | Builder Suresh Dube murder case: Bhai Thakur, two others found not guilty; Judgement delivered by Pune court
PUNE: Pune TADA Court | Builder Suresh Dube from Virar had been killed by 6/7 people by opening fire at him at Nalasopara railway station on October 9, 1989. In 1992, the TADA Act was used and 17 accused had been arrested. Meanwhile, since the TADA court’s charge is with the Pune court, Special Judge Satyanarayan Navander has delivered verdict in the last TADA case in the country. Jayant alias Bhai Vishnu Thakur, Deepak Thakur and Gajanan Patil have been acquitted.
Earlier, the SC has awarded life term for six people. The six include Narendra Bhalchandra Bhoir, Dnyaneshwar Patil, Ulhas Rane, Patrick Tuscano, Raja Jadhav and Manik Anant Patil. In the Suresh Dube murder case, in 2004, the charges were framed as per various sections of TADA and the Arms Act. Meanwhile, the court has freed Bhai Thakur, Deepak Thakur and Gajanan Patil.
Adv Satish Mishra was the Special Public Prosecutor and Adv Sudeep Pasbola, Adv Sudhir Shah, Adv. Rohan Nahar, Adv. Pritesh Kharade, Adv Sachin Patil and Adv. Rohit Tulpule appeared for the defence.
