Pune Crime News | MCOCA action taken against 21 members of Irani gang; Police Commissioner Retesh Kumaarr has taken action against 25 gangs under MCOCA

PUNE : Pune Crime News | Police Commissioner Retesh Kumaarr has taken action against Kasim alias Babarburuj Irani operating in Khadki police station limits and his 21 aides under MCOCA. After taking charge as police chief, he has taken action against 25 organised gangs under MCOCA.
Mohammad Hussain Irani (23), Gulabnabi Hussain Irani (30), Sakina Feroz Irani (50), Sanobar Hussain Irani (55), Kulsum Mohammad Shaikh (28), Rani Hussain Irani (25), Amna alias Hamna Yakub Irani (27), Sayyadnur Jansha Irani and Ruksana Sayyadnur Irani, all residents of Mahatma Gandhi Vasahat, Patil Estate, Shivaji Nagar, have been arrested in connection with an attempt to murder case registered at the Khadki police station. Action has been taken against them and their absconding aides under MCOCA.

 

Gang leader Kasim alias Babarburuj Irani and his aides had attempted to kill Mohammad Shaukat Shaikh on April 21, 2023 at 10.30 pm. Mohammad Shaikh’s sister had gone to resolve the dispute but the accused had pushed her and molested her. The accused, Sakina Feroz Irani, had assaulted Mohammad Shaikh on his face with a spoon and fork and injured him. Kasim alias Chitta Irani was engaging in unlawful activities with his aides and had created terror in the area.

 

Sr PI Vishnu Tamhane of Khadki police station had sent a proposal seeking MCOCA action against the acused to Addl CP Ranjan Kumar Sharma via DCP Shashikant Borate. Addl CP Sharma has approved the proposal. Police Commissioner Retesh Kumaarr, Joint CP Sandeep Karnik is guiding ACP Arti Bansode is carrying out the investigation. After taking charge as police chief, he has taken action against 25 organised gangs under MCOCA.

Sr PI Vishnu Tamhane, PI Mansing Patil and PSI Vaibhav Magdum and a tem of police officials had prepared a MCOCA proposal.
