Pune Crime News | Koyta gang damages vehicles in Katraj; another minors’ gang vandalises vehicles in Dhankawadi

Pune : Pune Crime News | Incidents of vehicle- damaging have been going on unabated in the city. The latest incident has been reported within the limits of the Bharati Vidyapeeth Police station. Local residents said they felt terrorised after the vandalising.

 

A gang wielding sickles damaged several vehicles on the premises of Om Sai Nivas in Bhilarewadi within the limits of the Bharati Vidyapeeth PS. The police have started arresting the suspects. Around seven people have been booked while five of them have been arrested.

 

The arrested have been identified as Madhukar alias Appa Gyanba Bhilare (47), Akash Nanasaheb Garwade (27), Amit Uttam Bhilare (36), Firoz Hasan Shaikh (24) and Mustafa Mehboob Shaikh (21), all residents of Bhilarewadi, Katraj.

 

Bhimaji Bhikaji Sawant lodged a complaint at the Bharati Vidyapeeth Police Station in this regard. Sawant had an argument with the accused. Then they arrived on the premises of Om Sai Niwas housing society and abused him. They stoned two cars, an auto-rickshaw and some two-wheelers parked on the premises of the society. They flaunted sickles and baseball sticks.

A gang of minors involved in another incident

A gang of minors damaged several vehicles within the limits of the Sahakar Nagar Police Station on Sunday evening. The gang members arrived on two-wheelers and damaged 5-6 vehicles with wooden logs and stones at Shanti Nagar Vasahat in Chavan Nagar, Dhankawadi. A case has been registered at the Sahakar Nagar Police Station.
