Man, who was trying to sell cannabis, arrested; Cannabis worth ₹8 lakh seized
Pune : NpNews24 Online – Pune Crime News | The Anti-Narcotics Cell (ANC) of the Crime Branch of Pune police arrested a man who was trying to sell cannabis from Kondhwa Khurd area. Cannabis weighing 40 kg 245 gm and other goods totally worth ₹8.64 lakh were seized from him. (Pune Crime News)
The accused has been identified as Vyankat Manohar Suryavanshi (40), a resident of Bhosari and hailing from Karnataka. The team of ANC unit 1 was patrolling in the limits of Kondhwa police station. At that time, Vishal Dalvi got information about the accused. After verifying the information, Vyankat Suryavanshi was arrested after laying a trap.
When he was searched, 40 kg 245 gm cannabis and other goods worth ₹8.64 lakh were seized. Police Commissioner Retesh Kumaarr, Joint CP Sandeep Karnik, Addl CP Ramnath Pokale, DCP Amol Zende and ACP Sunil Pawar guided a team of officials including Sr PI Vinayak Gaikwad, API Shailaja Jankar, policemen Vishal Dalvi, Pandurang Pawar, Sujit Wadekar, Manojkumar Salunke, Maruti Pardhi, Pravin Uttekar, Sachin Malve, Rahul Joshi, Vishal Shinde, Sandesh Kakde, Rehna Shaikh and Yogesh Mohite in arresting the accused.
