The PMC had carried out the recruitment process for 448 vacancies in October 2022. The recruitment process was conducted online after PMC had signed an agreement with IBPS. The PMC had become the first municipal corporation in the state to carry out the recruitment process in the online mode. After completion of the recruitment process in the first stage, the recruitment for 445 posts is being carried out in the second phase.
As compared to the recruitment process in the first phase, the second phase has received a poor response. In 18 days, only 4,218 applications had been received and 3,775 were found valid. In the second phase, the last day of sending applications was March 28, 2023. Because of poor response, the last date had been extended by 15 days. Today (April 13) was the last day of submitting applications. Till today, 8,774 applications have been received. Now again, an extension of 16 days has been given. Now, applications can be submitted till April 30, said Additional Municipal Commissioner Ravindra Binwade.
