Jawan of fire brigade, who was going to his village, tries to douse fire which had engulfed luxury car
Pune : NpNews24 Online – Pune Fire Brigade | A fireman was going to his village with his family and he saw that a luxury car was on fire. He tried to douse the fire by using the firefighting equipment of a petrol pump. The jawan has been identified as Harshad Yewale of Devdoot stationed at the fire brigade at Kondhwa Khurd. The incident took place opposite Dharmavat petrol pump at Undri Pisoli.
Harshad Yewale, a resident of Kondhwa, was going to his village Kenjal located on Pune-Satara highway. When he saw that a car was on fire, he rushed to the spot and confirmed that nobody was stuck in the vehicle. He used the fire fighting equipment at Dharmavat petrol pump to douse the fire which had engulfed the luxurious BMW car. The jawans of the fire brigade reached there and doused the fire by spraying water.
After the fire was doused, local residents praised the efforts made by jawan Harshad Yewale and other jawans. Apart from Devdoot Harshad Yewale, driver of Kondhwa Budruk fire brigade Baburao Jadhav, Akshay Kharat, Tandel Sopan Kamble, jawan Abhijit Thalkar, Arjun Yadav, Sahil Padye and Anil Chavan took part in the operation.
