Hinjewadi-Shivaji Nagar Metro route’s important section completed; 2,000 segments erected

On July 23, 2022, the first segment on Pune Metro Route-3 project was erected at Hinjewadi. In the nine-month period, 2,000 segments have been erected. The Tata Group has undertaken the work of Hinjewadi-Shivaji Nagar Metro Route-3 project on behalf of PMRDA on PPP basis. For this, Pune IT City Metro Rail Ltd, a SPV, has been started.
After the Metro project is completed, a fast, cheap and convenient public transport option will be available. To complete the project work by the deadline, the work is going on in full swing and in nine months, 2,000 segments have been erected. “We have been able to erect 50 per cent pillars within a year of starting the work,” said Pune IT City Metro Rail Ltd CEO Alok Kapur.
