Unidentified person fires in air in a bid to loot wine shop owner; Duo escape after locals gather

PUNE : NpNews24 Online  –   Pune Crime News | The owner of a shop was taking the cash collected in his shop to his home when an attempt was made to snatch the bag by threatening him with a pistol. However, he put up a resistance. The unidentified person fired in the air and disappeared when he saw that shop employees and locals were gathering. The incident took place opposite Hero Wines at Narhe at 11 pm on Sunday. (Pune Crime News)

 

Tukaram Sopan Ingle (57), a resident of Shivne has lodged a complaint at the Sinhagad Road police station.

 

 

According to the police, Tukaram Ingle owns Hero Wines shop in Narhe area. He kept ₹2.19 lakh which was collected in his shop, in his bag. He closed his shop at 11 pm and was sitting in his car. Two people sitting on a bike and going towards Dhayari Phata came there. A man, who was wearing a white shirt, who was sitting behind, came near Ingle and threatened him with a pistol. He tried to snatch his bag. However, Ingle held on to his bag and put up a resistance. Shop employees and locals started gathering when they saw the scuffle. The unidentified person fired in the air and the duo decamped towards Bank of Maharashtra. The Sinhagad Road police have registered an FIR against the unidentified persons and API Sachin Nikam is probing the case.
