Know the two districts in state, where gold mines are located

The value of a country’s currency depends on the amount of gold it reserves. Though it is not the only unit to determine the value of currency, it is important among others in that regard. So having a natural source of gold for a country is very beneficial, India does not have many gold mines, only three in total. One of these mines was at Kollar. Now it is being predicted that there is goldin Maharashtra. Many minerals are found in the soil of Maharashtra. It includes 24 minerals like coal, bauxite, iron.

 

But now it has come to light that gold is also hidden in this soil. Two gold blocks have been found underground in Minzri and Bamani areas of Chandrapur district.

 

The Minerals Department of the Central Government has predicted that copper and gold can be found underground in this area. Moreover, there is a possibility of underground gold in Sindhudurg district of Konkan and information has also come to light that the Minerals Department has started testing for that. Earlier, chief minister Eknath Shinde had also vaguely mentioned the existence of gold mines in the state at a conference of mining investors at the Taj Hotel in Mumbai.

 

“By starting a mining research institute in the state and removing the obstacles in this business, the government is committed to increase employment as well as revenue of the state”, CM had said.

 

Union Mineral Resources Minister Pralhad Joshi, Union Minister of State for Railways and Coal Raosaheb Danve, state’s Minister for Mineral Resources Dadaji Bhuse, Secretary of the Union Ministry of Minerals Vivek Bhardwaj and Secretary of the Union Ministry of Coal Amrit Lal Meena etc. attended the conference.
