Army Commander Southern Command meets Hon’ble Governor and Chief Minster of Maharashtra

NpNews24 Online  – Army Commander Southern Command | Lieutenant General AK Singh, Army Commander, Southern Command visited Headquarters Maharashtra, Gujarat and Goa Area, Mumbai on 04 January 2023. He was briefed by the General Officer Commanding, Headquarters Maharashtra, Gujarat and Goa Area on the operational readiness of the formation.

The Army Commander during his visit to Mumbai called on Hon’ble Governor of Maharashtra Shri Bhagat Singh Koshyari and apprised him regarding the Profound contribution of the Indian Army towards Nation building and the continued preparedness of Headquarters Southern Command to respond to any further challenges.

The General also called on Shri Eknath Shinde, Chief Minister of Maharashtra to discuss issues regarding synergised response in Humanitarian Assistance & Disaster Relief (HADR) scenarios and issues related to the welfare of the veterans of Maharashtra. He also dwelled upon on issues concerning implementation of the recently launched Agnipath Scheme in the State.
