Changes in traffic arrangements to facilitate ‘darshan’ at Dagdusheth Ganapati on January 1

Pune : NpNews24 Online  – Pune Traffic Police |  To celebrate New Year in the city, Puneites gather in large numbers on arterial roads. In order to avoid traffic congestion in the area around the Dagadusheth Halwai Ganapati temple, changes in traffic arrangements have been made on the following roads on January 1, 2023 from 5 am till the end of rush hours. (Pune Traffic Police)

 

On January 1, all types of vehicles (except emergency vehicles) are prohibited entry on the following roads from 5 am till the end of rush hours. Citizens should use alternative routes to reach desired destinations.

 

Closed routes: Shaniwar Wada via Bajirao Road from Puram Chowk
Alternative Route: Vehicles will proceed from Puram Chowk via Tilak Road via Alka Talkies Chowk to further destinations.

 

Closed route: Appa Balwant Chowk to Pasodaya Vithoba Chowk
Alternative Route: Appa Balwant Chowk to Bajirao road to Gadgil statue and further to desired destination.

 

Closed route: SG Barve Chowk to the Pune Municipal Corporation building and Shaniwar Wada
Alternative route: Vehicles will go from SG Barve Chowk – Jungli Maharaj Road – Jhansi Rani Chowk to the desired destination.

 

Closed Route: Gadgil Statue to Rameshwar Chowk

Alternative Route: The vehicles will take a left turn at Gadgil statue and go to the desired destination in front of Kumbharwada or Surya Hospital.

 

 

Deputy Commissioner of Police Vijaykumar Magar has appealed to citizens to cooperate by using alternative routes and avoid congestion.
