5 dead as truck hits autorickshaw in Beed

BEED: Five persons lost their lives while 8 others injured after a truck rammed into an autorickshaw on Parli Vaijanath-Beed Highway in Maharashtra on Sunday.

According to the information, the truck first rammed the autorickshaw and then hit two other vehicles before falling into a pond.

Some of the injured persons have been admitted to a hospital in Beed while those who were seriously injured referred to Aurangabad. After the accident, the truck driver fled the spot.

The deceased have been identified as Madina Pathan (30), Tabassum Pathan (40), Rehan Pathan (10), Tamanna Pathan (8) and Saro Sattar Pathan (40), all residents of Beed’s Shahu Nagar.

A search is on to nab the errant truck driver.
