Pune Police Conducts Anti-Terrorism Mock Drill at KOPA Mall to Showcase Preparedness (Videos)

Pune: On Friday morning, routine activities at KOPA Mall in Mundhwa took an unexpected turn as news of terrorists entering the mall spread among citizens, causing panic and chaos. However, what initially seemed like a real threat turned out to be an anti-terrorism mock drill meticulously executed by the Pune Police.

The Quick Response Team of Mundhwa Police and Pune Police were swiftly mobilised in response to the perceived threat, showcasing their efficiency and preparedness in handling such situations. Despite the initial panic, citizens breathed a collective sigh of relief upon realising that the incident was part of a drill.

The mock drill, conducted between 11:30 a.m. and 12:30 p.m., aimed to demonstrate the police’s response to a terrorist incident in Pune, reassuring citizens of the authorities’ vigilance and capability in managing crisis situations. Pune Police Commissioner Amitesh Kumar, along with other high-ranking officials, supervised the drill, emphasising the importance of preparedness in combating terrorism.

Under the guidance of Senior Police Inspector Mahesh Bolkotgi and his team from Mundhwa Police Station, the mock drill showcased the courage and skill of Pune Police personnel, leaving residents impressed with the police force’s dedication and efforts in maintaining public safety.

The successful execution of the anti-terrorism mock drill showcased the readiness and coordination among law enforcement agencies to ensure the security of citizens, particularly in the face of evolving threats. Through such drills, Pune Police reiterated their commitment to safeguarding the city and its residents from potential dangers.
