Lonavala: Gang filming porn video clips for obscene OTT platforms arrested; Involvement of five young women in the illegal activity

Lonavala: As many as 13 members of a 15-member gang have been arrested for making porn video clips in Lonavala. The filming was underway in a villa at the hill station for the past two days.

According to the Lonavala rural police, young boys and girls from various states gathered to carry out the activity. The police have seized some video clips. The shooting was underway before 5 pm on Friday at Arnav Villa within the limits of Patan village.

Shooting porn video clips is illegal in India. It is prohibited. However, the gang of 15 was producing the carnal footage.

The police said that there were five young women in the gang. They hail from various states in the country. After learning about the illicit activity, the Lonavala rural police raided the villa and arrested 13 of them. They confiscated cameras and other equipment needed for shooting.

The action was taken under the guidance of Asst SP Sathyasai Karthik. Lonavala Sub-Division PSI Bharat Bhosale lodged a complaint in this regard.

A case has been registered against the five young women and Vishnu Munnasahab Sao (30), a resident of Kolkata, Javed Habibullah Khan (35), hailing from district Basti (UP), Buddhasen Bardanilal Shrivas (29), a resident of Chandrapur, Sameer Mehtab Alam (26), a resident of Amroha (UP), Anup Mithilesh Choube (29), a resident of Mumbai, Ramkumar Shribhagwan Yadav (21), a resident of Raunak City, Haryana, Rahul Suresh Nevarekar (38), a resident of Thane, Aniket Pavan Sharma (19), a make-up artist and resident of Surat, Vanshaj Sachin Varma (21), a resident of Dehradun, Manish Hiraman Chawdhary (20), a resident of Shastri Nagar, Haryana, along with bungalow owner Sukhdev Changdev Jadhav (52), Akesh Gautam Shinde (32), and Sunny Vilas Shendge (35), all residents of Malavali, taluka Maval.

SP, Pune, Pankaj Deshmukh, Addl SP Ramesh Chopde, Asst SP Sathyasai Karthik are guiding the investigation, being conducted by PSI Kishor Dhumal.
