Pune Cyber Crime | Facebook Messenger of PI hacked and his cousin cheated
PUNE: Pune Cyber Crime | Cyber criminals hacked the Facebook Messenger of a police inspector and sent photos of furniture and forced him to send money and cheated him of ₹69,999.
Swagat Navnath Gosavi (36), a resident of Hadapsar, has lodged a complaint at the Hadapsar police station. Accordingly, the police have registered an FIR against the cyber thieves.
According to the police, the complainant’s cousin Santosh Girigosavi is a police inspector. Cyber crooks hacked his Facebook Messenger. The complainant thought that his cousin was sending the messages.
The complainant was forced to call on the given number. The complainant was sent photos of furniture through WhatsApp by the same number. He was forced to immediately send ₹69,999 and was cheated. PI Sandeep Shivle is probing the case.
