President of Swarajya Shiledar Mathadi Sanghatan held for extortion

Pune : NpNews24 Online  – Pune Crime | The President of Swarajya Shiledar Mathadi Sanghatan has been arrested by the police after laying a trap for demanding extortion under the guise of mathadi workers. The arrested accused has been identified as Omkar Ramesh Hinge (23), a resident of Bibvewadi. (Pune Crime)

 

A 28-year-old businessman has lodged a complaint at the Bibvewadi police station. According to the police, the complainant has taken a contract to supply labourers in a company. Omkar Hinge called up the complainant and met him and told him that Swarjya Shiledar Mathadi Sanghatan exists in Bibvewadi area. He told the complainant that he should take away the workers supplied to the company and mathadi workers should be employed in their place. Hinge warned him that if he does not replace the workers, he will have to pay Rs 40,000 per month.

 

The complainant lodged a complaint with the police. The police prepared a bundle of dummy notes of two thousand and 30 thousand. Hinge was called to a place opposite Café Kai Shreeji Lawns on the road going from Gangadham to Upper Indira Nagar. Hinge was arrested while accepting money by the police who had laid a trap.
