Gang of criminals planning to rob pedestrians in Hadapsar, arrested

Pune : NpNews24 Online  – Pune Crime | A team of unit 2 of the Pune police crime branch has arrested a gang of thieves who were planning to rob pedestrians passing near the canal in Hadapsar. The arrested accused have been identified as Arjun Shivaji Kamble (22), a resident of Hadapsar, Mainuddin Irfan Pathan (24), Ganesh Balaji Bhandekar (20), Harshad Shivshankar Tekanle (19), all residents of Hadapsar. All of them are notorious criminals on the police record. Their aide Baba Gaffar Pathan (19) escaped. (Pune Crime)

 

Police constable Ganesh Thorat of unit 2 of Pune police crime branch has lodged a complaint at the Hadapsar police station.

 

According to the police, a team of unit 2 of Pune police crime branch were patrolling near the vegetable market in Hadapsar. They found that some people were hiding in the darkness near the Pandhre Mala canal. The police surrounded them and arrested them. Baba Pathan managed to escape. An iron dagger, chilli powder packet, cutter, iron rods, two mobiles worth Rs 20,565 were seized from them. When questioned, they said they were planning to rob pedestrians going to Sasane Nagar.
