Pune Crime | Youths assault businessman on Sinhagad Road for demanding dues
Pune : NpNews24 Online – Pune Crime | A youth who was angered by a businessman’s demand for money owed to him for decoration, called up his friends and said he was being pestered for Rs 200 and attacked the youth with a knife and stones after threatening to kill him. The Sinhagad police have registered an FIR against Sunil Puri, a resident of Dhayari and his four aides for attempt to murder. (Pune Crime)
Saurabh Shinde (23) was seriously injured in the attack. Ajinkya Sudhir Kamble (25), a resident of Dhayarigaon has lodged a complaint at the Sinhagad Road police station. The incident took place opposite Durgakrupa Hotel in Dhayari on Sunday at 10.30 pm.
According to the police, Ajinkya Kamble is a student and his friend Saurabh Shinde has an event management business. On Sunday, while they were talking, Saurabh received a call from Sunil Puri. “I will pay your bill and if you send somebody else, I will not give money to him,” Puri told him. Accordingly, Ajinkya and Shinde went near Durgakrupa Hotel. After reaching there, Saurabh demanded his money from Puri. Puri threatened to kill him after accusing him calling him up frequently to seek Rs 200. He called up his friends. Four people came there after some time. They all started beating up Saurabh. When Ajinkya requested them that they should not beat him up, they ignored him.
When Saurabh tried to run away, Sunil Puri and friends chased him and hit him with a stone. Sunil Puri used a knife to hit Saurabh on his back. He hit on his head with a huge stone. They later ran away. Saurabh was lying on the road opposite Durgakrupa Hotel and was bleeding from his head and back. Ajinkya took Saurabh on his two-wheeler to Navale Hospital and Saurabh became unconscious.
Saurabh was later admitted to Command Hospital for further treatment.
