Pimpri Chinchwad Police Commissioner Vinoy Kumar Choubey takes strong action against policeman for demanding free passes of play ‘Shivputra Sambhaji’

PUNE: NCP MP Dr Amol Kolhe had alleged that the police had issued a threat that the shows of the play, ‘Shivputra Sambhaji’ will not be allowed to be held in Pimpri Chinchwad if the police are not given free passes. Taking a serious view of Kolhe’s allegations, Police Commissioner Vinoy Kumar Choubey has taken strong action against the concerned policeman. The policeman has been suspended.

 

Police Naik Mahesh Nale who is posted at the Pimpri police station has been suspended. The play, ‘Shivputra Sambhaji’ is being held at HA Ground in Pimpri. The police had extended cooperation for the shows which were held at Nashik, Kolhapur and Karad. Dr Kolhe had spoken about the threat issued by a policeman that the play will not be allowed to be staged in Pimpri if free passes are not given. Kolhe had also made a demand to Home Minister Devendra Fadnavis that he should issue a warning to the policemen. The video became viral on social media and many people had made negative remarks about the police.

 

Pimpri Chinchwad Police Commissioner Vinoy Kumar Choubey took a serious note of this incident and suspended Police Naik Mahesh Nale posted at the Pimpri police station. DCP Dr Vivek Patil is going to conduct a probe and submit a report to the police commissioner.
