Compulsory for property owners to submit PT-3 forms for tax rebate to continue

PUNE : NpNews24 Online  – Pune PMC Property Tax | As per the state government order, the 40 per cent rebate in the property tax levied by the PMC has been restored. However, those property holders who want to avail of the rebate should submit a form (PT 3) which declares that the property owner is residing in his property with the proof to the tax collection department. Civic officials are going to check the forms and if any fake information is given in the form, the persons will not get any rebate in the property tax, the civic administration has clarified. Property tax has been levied without giving the 40 pc rebate on newly constructed residential properties from April 1, 2019. All these properties have been denied 40 pc rebate under GIS survey from April 1, 2018. These properties had been sent regular bills. All these properties will be sent bills with 40 pc rebate from April 1, 2023.

The property owner should submit the PT-3 form with the proof to the tax collection department to ensure that the rebate continues. If the property tax owner has paid the full property tax, then after he submits the PT-3 form, the extra amount will be adjusted in the bills of next four years.

For the convenience of property owners, PT-3 forms can be submitted at the nearest ward offices, CFC at the PMC head office or peth inspector. Those properties which have received 40 pc rebate before April 1, 2019 and if the rebate is still continuing, the owners need not submit PT-3 forms.
