Leopard which had entered New Ahire village of Warje Malwadi tranquilised after two hours

It became clear that a leopard had entered an under construction building at New Ahire village in Warje Malwadi area near the NDA area. Some people had seen the predator entering a shed.
The news spread like wildfire and many onlookers gathered in the area to see the leopard. The leopard was seen entering a shed and later, it went to Wanjale’s garden. Then he was hiding under a vehicle for a long time in Kadba Katti Machine. Later, it entered a godown. A rescue team of the Forest Department and Warje police arrived at the spot at 8 am. They attached a big net near the door of the godown but the leopard fled from there. Later, he was seen near a tree adjacent to a building. The team of the Forest Department tranquilised the leopard by hitting it with a dart at 9.15 am.
Since there was a huge crowd to see the leopard, the rescue team and the police had a tough time in tranquilising the leopard. Since the leopard was captured early, fortunately, it did not attack anyone.
