Girl dies by suicide after jumping from building in Kalyani Nagar; Her fiance kills self in Pimpri

Pune : NpNews24 Online – Pune Crime News | A girl died by suicide after jumping from a building in Kalyani Nagar. Her fiancé, who was shocked by her death, also died by suicide in Kharalwadi area. Meanwhile, the Yerawada police have registered an FIR against two persons for being responsible for the girl’s death. (Pune Crime News)

The deceased girl has been identified as Asmita Parshuram Dhotre, a resident of Kharalwadi, Pimpri. Asmita had died by suicide after jumping from a building in Kalyani Nagar on March 14. The Yerawada police had initially registered it as an incidental death. The girls’ relatives brought the body to the Yerawada police station. Later, the police had registered an FIR against Johny Kurien, Rajesh Kamble and Janak Shahi. Asmita’s mother Vimal Parshuram Dhotre (45) has lodged a complaint at the Yerawada police station.

There was a financial transaction between Asmita and the accused. Since the accused were demanding their money, Asmita had died by suicide, Dhotre said in a complaint. Asmita used to stay in Kharalwadi area in Pimpri. Her marriage was fixed with a boy and the wedding was going to be held next month. On March 14, Asmita had gone to meet her friends in the Kalyani Nagar area. Later, she jumped from the building and died by suicide. Shocked by her death, her fiancé died by suicide in Kharawadi area in Pimpri, said the Yerawada police.
