Social Security Cell raids spa centre at Koregaon Park, 7 women including four foreigners rescued
Pune : NpNews24 Online – Pune Crime News | The Social Security Cell (SSC) of the Pune police Crime Branch raided a spa centre at Koregaon Park and rescued seven women including four foreigners. The police had received a tip that a prostitution racket was being operated from the spa and they took action based on the information. (Pune Crime News)
The SSC had received information that girls were being forced to ply the flesh trade at The Signature Thai Spa Centre located at plot number two at Vidyut Nagar Society on South Main Road at Koregaon Park. The information was verified. Later, a decoy customer was sent to the spa to confirm the fact. Later, a SSC team immediately raided the spa and four foreigners and three women were rescued. A person was apprehended from the spa and another person is absconding.
An FIR has been registered against the two persons at the Koregaon Park police station.
The action was taken by a team of police officials including senior PI Bharat Jadhav, API Aniket Pote, policeman Rajendra Kumawat, Baba Karpe, Ajay Rane, Manisha Pukale, Tushar Bhivarkar, Reshma Kank, Amit Jamdade and Omkar Kumbhar under the guidance of Police Commissioner Retesh Kumaarr, Joint CP Sandeep Karnik, Addl CP Ramnath Pokale and DCP Amol Zende.
