DySP, two others land in ACB net for accepting bribe of ₹25,000

KOLHAPUR : NpNews24 Online  –  ACB Trap News | The ACB (Kolhapur) unit has registered an FIR against a DySP and two others for accepting a bribe of ₹25,000 after demanding a bribe of ₹30,000. Meanwhile, a driver of a rural hospital and a private person have been caught red handed for accepting a bribe. (ACB Trap News)

The accused have been identified as Maruti Parshuram Varute (50), DySP, a resident of Kolhapur and hailing from Kolhapur district, Vilas Jivanrao Shinde (57), driver, rural hospital Pargaon and Shivam Vilas Shinde (22), a resident of hospital colony, Pargaon and hailing from Kolhapur district.

The accused number 1 demanded a bribe of ₹30,000 to sanction leave encashment proposal. After compromise, he told Vilas Jivanrao Shinde to accept a bribe of ₹25,000. Later, when Vilas Shinde and Shivam Vilas Shinde went to collect the bribe, Vilas Shinde took the bribe. Vilas Shinde and Shivam Shinde were caught red handed.

SP Amol Tambe of Pune zone, Addl SP Vijay Choudhary guided DySP Sardar Nale, havaldar Vikas Mane, havaldar Sunil Ghosalkar, policemen Rupesh Mane, Mayur Desai and driver Vishnu Gurav in taking the action.
