Afghanistan Ambassador calls on Maharashtra Governor; seeks India help in continuing women’s education

Stating that education of girls above 7th grade has been banned by the Taliban regime, the Ambassador sought India’s help in continuing the education of students, especially girl students stranded in Afghanistan. The Ambassador clarified that he is representing the people of Afghanistan and not the Taliban.

 

The Consul General of Afghanistan in Mumbai Zakia Wardak, Head of Afghanistan’s Trade Office in India Qadir Shah, Education Attache Sediqullah Sahar and Secretary to the Ambassador Idrees Mamundzay were present.
