Cold weather conditions prevail in Pune again; mercury touches single digit giving experience of a pleasant atmosphere to Puneites
Pune : NpNews24 Online – Pune Weather News | Due to the snowfall in the Himalayas and cold winds blowing from the weather conditions once again increased in the state. As a result, many cities in the State recorded single-digit the minimum temperature . For the first time this year, the minimum temperature has dropped to 9.3 degrees Celsius in the month of February in Pune. The lowest minimum temperature in the state today was recorded at Jalgaon at 7.5 degrees Celsius. (Pune Weather News)
In the absence of strong winds, the severity of these weather conditions cannot be experienced. The Puneites as well as people of the state are currently enjoying the pleasant atmosphere with clear skies and clean sunlight.
The average minimum temperature in Pune in February is 12.7 degrees Celsius. But every year the minimum temperature in Pune goes below 10 degrees. If we review the last 10 years, only in 2017, the minimum temperature in the month of February did not go below 10 degrees. The lowest minimum temperature of the year was recorded on 26 February 2017 at 11.9 degrees Celsius.
The lowest minimum temperature recorded was 4.6 degrees Celsius on February 9, 2012. Then on February 9, 2019, the minimum temperature was 5.1 degrees Celsius.
10 February 2014 – 7.8 degrees
9 February 2021 – 8.6 degrees
4 February 2016 – 8.7 degrees
18 February 2013 – 9.1 degrees
11 February 2018 – 9.2 degrees
6 February 2011 – 9.8 degrees
Thus, in 9 out of the last 10 years, the minimum temperature in the month of February appears to be going below 10 degrees at least for some days.
