NCP city vice-president Dayanand Irkal booked for molesting woman lawyer
Pune : NpNews24 Online – Pune Crime News | A woman lawyer was molested on a public road in Pune. A case has been registered against four persons, including the city vice-president of Nationalist Congress Party (NCP), Dayanand Irkal. The incident took place recently on the road leading to SB Road from Patrakar Sangh. (Pune Crime News)
The 25-year-old woman lodged a complaint at the Chatuhshrungi Police Station on Tuesday. Accordingly, an FIR under sections 354, 323, 504 of IPC has been filed against Dayanand Irkal, his wife Sandhya Mane-Irkal from Wadarwadi and an unknown man and woman.
According to the police, the complainant had left for Poona Hospital on a two-wheeler around 8:45 pm on Monday. Four persons, including the accused Irkal, his wife, and a woman were going by car. Irkal and the three persons in the car became enraged over the complainant on a two-wheeler for honking the horn on the bridge leading to the Patrakar Sangh. He stopped the car on the side and started arguing with the complainant.
Dayanand Irkal molested the complainant. Irkal’s wife Sandhya beat the complainant with a shoe. It has also been mentioned in the complaint that a woman and a person in the car physically abused her. On the complaint of the woman, a case has been registered against the four for molesting, abusing and threatening the victim.
