Aadhaar Seva Kendras to be kept open on holidays to speed up updation process
Pune : NpNews24 Online – Aadhaar Updation Pune | The Aadhaar updation process is being speeded up in Pune district on the orders of District Collector Dr Rajesh Deshmukh and the Aadhaar Seva Kendras are going to remain open on government holidays also. Citizens who want to update their Aadhaar cards should visit the Aadhaar Seva Kendras, said Dr Deshmukh in an appeal. (Aadhaar Updation Pune)
Those citizens who have got Aadhaar cards before 2012 but not updated it, should get them updated. At present, 30.26 lakh citizens are yet to get their Aadhaar cards updated.
To speed up the updation process of Aadhaar cards, Dr Deshmukh had organised a meeting which was attended by Deputy District Collector and District Nodal Officer Rohini Akhade, Manager of state project Manoj Jadhav, representatives of banks, post offices, women and child development department and coordination chief of the health department of zilla parishad.
In the meeting, Dr Deshmukh issued orders that the Aadhaar Seva Kendras will remain open on weekly offs and holidays. A special drive will be conducted from April 15 to April 30 at the taluka, mandal and regional level.
Citizens can update their information by using the mAadhaar app and the website. A charge of ₹50 has to be paid for updating the information. However, till June 14, 2023, if citizens update their information on the app and website, no charge will be collected.
Dr Deshmukh said, “Citizens should use mAadhaar app, website or visit the Aadhaar Seva Kendras to update their details.”
