Drugs worth ₹46 lakh seized in Kondhwa
Pune : NpNews24 Online – Pune Crime News | The teams of unit 1 and 2 of ANC arrested two people who had come to the Kondhwa area to sell drugs at different places. Drugs worth ₹46 lakh have been seized from them. The drugs consist of brown sugar and Catha Edulis fertiliser from Yemen. (Pune Crime News)
The ANC team was on patrolling duty. At that time, Shahid Akhtarhussain Shaikh (45), a resident of Kondhwa, was standing in lane number 15. The police laid a trap and arrested him. A packet of brown sugar was found in his bag. The price of brown sugar is ₹40.44 lakh. The action was taken by Sr PI (unit 2) of ANC Sunil Thopte, PSI Shubhangi Narke, Shivaji Ghule, Chetan Gaikwad, Santosh Deshpande, Sandip Jadhav, Disha Khevalkar, Yogesh Mandhre, Yuvraj Kamble, Dinesh Bastewad under the guidance of DCP Amol Zende.
The ANC team arrested a person for selling drug Catha Edulis Fertiliser from Yemen and foreign made cigarettes. Catha Edulis fertiliser and cigarettes totally worth ₹5.56 lakh were seized from him. Laxman Polaram Sirvi (34), a resident of Kondhwa but hailing from Rajasthan was arrested.
DCP Amol Zende, ACP Sunil Pawar guided a team of police officials including Sr PI (unit 1) of ANC Vinayak Gaikwad, API Laxman Dhengle, Shailaja Jankar, policemen Vishal Shinde, Manoj Salunke, Sujit Wadekar, Pandurang Pawar, Rahul Joshi and Vishal Dalvi in taking the action.
