Woman commit suicide due to alleged Husband torture

Unable to bear the torture of husband a 30-year-old married woman committed suicide at her resident in Koregoan park. Police claims that she was mentally and physically abused by husband.

The incident took place at Koregaon Park on Saturday morning at the Atur Park Society, Koregaon Park, Pune. The police have identified the victim as Lipsa Jitendra Saha (30) who got married to the Jitendra two years ago. Case of abetment suicide has been registered with Koregoan Park police station.

According to police, “Lipsa and Jitendra got married on February 28, 2016, and were living with their family at the Atur Park Society, Koregaon Park, where the incident took place. As per Lipsa’s father Chandra Babu Das (51), she was physically abused, he used to hit her badly and even used to verbally abuse. He registered the case with us. Das also told that he was a very insecure person and used to doubt Lipsa’s character. He always used to find some or the other way to taunt her smack to release his frustrations and insecurities. Das who is from Bhubaneshwar Orissa used to get threat from Jitendra.

Das told that Jitendra, on Saturday threatened to kill Lipsa, “Take your daughter with you or else I will kill her,” And on a similar day, Lipsa was found hanged in her own residence.

Das is asserting that he mentally harassed Lipsa and forced her to hang herself, pretending as a suicide.

The case is filed at Pune’s Koregaon Park police station and is looked after by Police Sub -Inspector (PSI) Arun Gaud. Jitendra Saha is currently in police custody. There is no statement from Saha as for now.

Koregaon Park is believed one of the most prominent areas of Pune, there are a lot of avenues in the area. It is shocking that the area which is a commercial hub and includes highly educated crowd will witness such a terrifying incident.
