Why did the monkey kill 12-day-old infant in Agra?

AGRA: NP NEWS 24 ONLINE- India’s city Agra is facing serious problems because of monkeys. Monkeys who are said to have traits like human beings are becoming a terror for the city and want the government to seriously look into it.

On 8 November in a dreadful incident that took place in Agra, a 12-day-old baby was snatched by mother’s lap and was killed by a monkey.

The infant’s parents Neha and Yogesh who married two years ago, were at home while Neha was feeding her baby, in the meanwhile the monkey came all of a sudden, snatched the baby from her lap and ran to the terrace.

The couple even tried to lure the monkey by showing it some food, but all efforts in vain and the child found bitten by the monkey and was lying in a pool of blood. The family has went into a state of shock after which.

The baby’s mother Neha is facing a hard time trying to deal with the fact that her baby is no more. The monkey reportedly also tried to kill a 14-year-old girl before in Agra.

According to the family in Agra, “The area is facing monkey menace. Monkeys move in large groups. People are scared, they keep sticks with them. We complained to administration but to no avail. Demand govt to look into this.

Some environmentalists and activists claim that such incidents are being caused due to the anger of monkeys because their habitat has been destroyed.

Earlier in the month of April in year 2018, another such incident took place in Odisha, in which the monkey snatched a 10-day-old baby from the mosquito net and fled who was later killed by the monkey. And, after efforts by family in searching, the baby was found dead outside their home.
