#MeToo: TATA Motors fires Corporate Communications head of sexual harassment

NP NEWS 24 ONLINE- #MeToo is taking strongholds towards positive growth of the society in which many high level officials and famous personalities are being accused of sexual harassment and proper actions are being taken on them across the nation.

Now, via the #MeToo campaign, another top official of TATA Motors who is the Head of Corporate Communications named Suresh Rangarajan was fired on the allegations of sexual harassment by more than one female employees.

A twitter post on the behalf of TATA Motors on Thursday morning read, “Suresh Rangarajan- Sr. GM, Corporate Communications has been discharged from the company’s services with immediate effect. Consequently, Ashmita Pillay, Dy. GM- Corporate Communications will hold the charge till the appointment of  a Head. In her new role Ashmita will report to MD & CEO”.

Suresh Rangarajan has already been accused of sexually harassing many women at workplace earlier but was not looked upon seriously and finally when the decision was taken by the company, many women and people are expressing their happiness by commenting below the post.

TATA Motors  which has its headquarter in Mumbai  is an Indian multinational automotive manufacturing company and a member of the Tata Group.

Sexual harassment at workplace is faced by many employees mostly women every now and then, some decide to keep mum but after the #MeToo campaign, many girls and women are coming forward and speaking up against the misbehave they have faced.

Recently, India Today anchor, Gaurav Sawant was also alleged of sexual harassment at workplace by a female journalist on which the anchor had denied all the allegations against him. Not only the anchor has been alleged by a single journalist, but also a former editor of a news channel has alleged him of the same.
