Sassoon Hospital succeed in operating  of 7 cm nose blood clot

PUNE The Pune’s Sassoon Hospital is known for doing critical operations, as it has done many complicated operations like heart transplantations. Now, one more very critical operation has been added in its list as the doctors of Sassoon hospital succeed in one complicated operation of 7 cm blood clot by using binocular.

A 23-year-old Ramesh (name changed) a resident of  Akole of Ahmednagar district is the name of the patient. He was suffering from the critical pain of blood transfusion from the nose and also had difficulty in breathing. For that, he went for check-ups to many hospitals and was undergoing treatments. But his attempt was in vain and his suffrage did not reduce.

After the increase in pain leaving with no other option. Finally, he reached at Pune based Sassoon Hospital’s Nose, Ear and Throat (ENT) department for treatment.

 

Dr Sameer Joshi professor and head of the department of NET along with his team did all the required test and reached the conclusion that Ramesh has ‘Angiofibroma’ (blood clot) in his nose.

 

Doctors made Ramesh understand that generally the Blood clot is found in teenagers only and it can be removed only by doing the operation.

 

Sassoon hospital’s  X-ray expert Dr Ibrahim Ansari and his cooperative Dr Kiran Naikanware did angiography to check if there is any blood clot in the nose and check the proper flow of blood before removing of this blood clot by the operation.

 

Dr Sameer Joshi, Dr Rahul Telang, Dr Rahul Thakur and their cooperatives made such a difficult surgery possible and removed that blood clot from the nose with the help of binoculars. This blood clot was the size of 7 by 5cm, which was spread inside.

 

For this operation, Dr Prajakta Tayade anaesthesia expert, and Superintendent Vaishnavi Jejurkar did their valuable contribution. As well as, Sassoon Hospital’s  Dr Ajay Chandanwale made available the all required machineries for this operation.
