Effect of Covaxin on young children positive, Second phase trial will start soon

Mumbai : Amid the fears of the third wave of Corona, good news has come to the fore. Two weeks ago, the human trial of Bharat Biotech’s  Covaxin on children started. In the first phase, children aged 12 to 18 years were given the first dose of the vaccine which showed positive results.

No child has got any reaction or side effect after giving the vaccine. In view of these good results till Tuesday, now the second phase human trial is starting on 6 to 11 year old children from Wednesday.

No Side Effect, No Reaction
In the first phase, after the children were given the first dose of the vaccine, their blood samples were sent to the lab in New Delhi for testing. Its report arrived on Tuesday. Due to the positive report, now the second phase of human trial is being started from Wednesday. This trial will be done on children from the age of 6 to 11 years of age.

Nagpur is one of the five centers of human trials
Five centers have been selected for human trials in the country. Nagpur is also one of these. Here in the first phase, 41 children were tested. The good thing is that 38 of these children did not see any side effects. The other two-three children also got only mild fever which got cured with a single dose of paracetamol.
