Roza Iftar should become a platform for unity, says Pune Joint CP Sandeep Karnik

Pune :  NpNews24 Online  – Pune Jt CP Sandeep Karnik | A Roza Iftar party was organised by Dr PA Inamdar University, Maharashtra Cosmopolitan Education Society, Haji Ghulam Mohammad Azam Education Trust, Awami Mahaj and other organisations of Azam Campus on Saturday, April 15. Senior police officers, religious leaders of Sikh, Buddhist and Muslim communities, social activists and people from all communities attended the programme. (Pune Jt CP Sandeep Karnik)

 

Joint CP Sandeep Karnik was the chief guest of the programme. The guests were welcomed by Vice-chancellor of Inamdar University Dr PA Inamdar. Abeda Inamdar, Addl CP Rajendra Dahale, former minister Ramesh Bagwe, Addl Municipal Commissioner Raj Mohammad Raje, DCP Smartana Patil, Ad Ayub Shaikh, Virendra Kirad, Abhay Chhajed, Shiv Sena (Thackeray group) chief Sanjay More, former MLA Mohan Joshi, Vinod Mathurawala, Rafiq Shaikh, Kamal Vyavahare, Avinash Bagwe, Rahul Dambale, Ali Inamdar, Shahid Inamdar, PI Tatkare and other important people were present. The programme was compered by Iqbal Ansari. Asif Ayub Shaikh presented a vote of thanks.

 

Dr PA Inamdar said, “We live in a country where there is unity between all communities and love and respect for each other. Pune is an example of unity and peace. Let us strive to maintain brotherhood and love between all communities. The contribution of the police is extremely important and we should involve them in all festivals.”

 

Sandeep Karnik said, “Programmes like Roza Iftar are a platform of national unity. People from all religions should celebrate festivals together and this will help to maintain love and brotherhood. The efforts being made by Azam Campus Pune to foster the spirit of love, unity and brotherhood are very important.”

 

The programme was held at the function ground on Azam Campus at 6 pm. Special arrangements had been made for breaking the fast in the month of Ramzan. The greetings of Ramzan were extended to all.
