Supervisor demands extortion of ₹50 lakh from company’s owner
Pune : NpNews24 Online – Pune Crime News | An incident has come to light wherein a supervisor of a company demanded an extortion of ₹50 lakh from the owner by threatening him that he will destroy his business. The supervisor also told him that he had data of all workers of the company and stolen the money earmarked for paying their salaries. (Pune Crime News)
Dinesh Vasu Shetty (64), a resident of Kharadi, has lodged a complaint (154/23) at the Chandan Nagar police station. Accordingly, the police have registered an FIR against Vishwas Dhondu Raut (40), a resident of Mumbai. The incident was going on since 2018.
According to the police, the complainant owns Masterpro Facility Services Private Limited. Raut was working as a supervisor in the company. An amount of ₹2.54 lakh had been kept in the cash locker of the company’s office located at Gera Sky Villa at Kharadi for paying salaries of workers. Raut stole the money and stole important documents containing customer data. Later, he came near the sales office and threatened the owner that he had all data of the company and threatened to destroy his company and kill his son. Raut demanded an extortion of ₹50 lakh. The Pune police have registered an FIR and PSI Ghodke is probing the case.
