Owner and waiter of Greenfield Resto Bar and Family Garden assaulted with sharp weapons; Three people apprehended

Pune :  NpNews24 Online  – Pune Crime News | A gang of criminals assaulted the owner and an employee of Greenfield Resto Bar and Family Garden located near the fire brigade centre of Vadgaon Khurd with sharp weapons after Saturday midnight. The Sinhagad Road police have apprehended three people and an FIR of attempt to murder has been registered against 7/8 others. Senior police officers visited the spot. (Pune Crime News)

Suhas Subhashchandra Hegde, a resident of Wanawadi, and waiter Asik Mandal were assaulted with sharp weapons. Both were injured. Based on the complaint lodged by Hegde, the Sinhagad Road police have apprehended Sumit Shejwal, Madanraj Getyal and Yash Shejwal and an FIR has been registered against 7/8 others.

Suhas Hegde was closing his Greenfield Resto Bar and Family Garden on Saturday midnight. The accused, Sumit Shejwal, jumped over the closed gate and came inside. He had an argument with Hegde, Manager Yashpal and the watchman. Since Hedge did not allow him to enter the bar, Sumit Shejwal got angry. When Hegde was talking his acquaintance Rohan Shah outside the restaurant, Sumit Shejwal attacked Hedge with a sharp weapon. Shejwal assaulted Hegde on his head, right ear and his back. The other accused also started assaulting Hegde.

One of the accused also assaulted waiter Asik Mandal. Hegde and Mandal were seriously injured.
Officers and other staff of Sinhagad Road police station rushed to the spot after they were informed. Meanwhile, the police have apprehended three people. API Chandanshiv is probing the case.
